My heart was weeping, but my lips were grinning
The ironies of life always made me a great thespian
The joyous moments are just an illusion,
The drama of pleasure and pain exists with evolution.
I wondered the reasons for my dysphoric fate
My quests for answers always lead me to a solitary state
Life as ever stood like an unsolved puzzle
Mere mortal I am, I agnised, when life became a tussle.
Thoughts appeared from nowhere to ignite my anguish
Those thoughts however could not make me languish
A spiritual odyssey through strait and constricted paths of mind
Searching liberation from traumas of life for humankind.
My aching heart and crying soul, sought divine guidance
Writhed thoughts untangled reflexively in silence
Now witness I am as I watch the divine’s ultimate abode
My body is now a shrine, there dwells the supreme Lord.

My Questions to God
“Oh! Lord, The mightiest!
I have not seen you ever,
Through my naked eyes
Nor, I have ever perceived you
With my senses
Yet, I know,
You are the omnipotent,
You are the omnipresent,
You are the omniscient
I have read,
It is mentioned in the Vedas and Upanishads
Why then the mortals beg for their wellbeing?
Why do they think that you are not seeing?
Don’t you know their needs?
Or are you not paying heed?
Are you not watching everyone?
Or is it that you have left someone?
Or may be you are a blind
But I believe you are not,
For this creation is so beautiful
Meticulously carved with perfection
Without sight,
How you could have created such a masterpiece?
Why then you not act when there are so many disparities?
Why then you forgo the prayers of mortals?
They offer you garlands of scented flower
Adore you, for you possess the knowledge and power
Still, many are waiting for the blessings you will shower
Are you deliberately ignoring them?
For you think,
The mortals have offered prayers in pursuit of a vested interest
Or is it because of the covetousness of the mortals wish?
Wish is the desire of the unsatisfied human mind
Most are gross yet some are subtle
Subtle wishes are from deep yet brittle
I too have a wish,
To meet the Master of this Universe!
God! Guide me towards you,
Or else I will slide into the vicious,
Slippery mortal world of delusion
Enlighten my path with your radiant light
Time is too short,
And I need to know a lot,
Enlighten me! Enlighten me!”
These were the few questions and one subtle desire
that lasted till the dusk of my life,
Now I realise,
Those were worthless questions and boasting desire
Filled with words of ignorance and pride
I leave them all behind,
Now I am a castaway,
I am left with nothing,
Now I witness, the meanings of Vedas
The Creation itself is the Creator and the Creature
The divine and the devotee are not two anymore
Duality ceased to exist
Am I now in you or you in me?
The barriers have merged
Like the drop of water fallen in an ocean
Questions have vanished to nowhere
Now only pure consciousness exists.
